VONORE, Tenn. – Yamaha Motor Corp.’s Tennessee Watercraft Inc. has completed a $6 million, 64,000-square-foot expansion at its Vonore, Tenn. plant, according to an article this week in The Daily Times.

The expansion includes a robotic gelcoat application booth, robotic CNC cutters, and an RF urethane injection system for floating foam, as well as other “green” technologies, the newspaper reported.

"I am very pleased that Yamaha has completed this important investment for its ever-expanding boat building facility," U.S. Rep. John J. Duncan Jr. said in a statement. "It is an essential component of ensuring the continued growth of our local economy and is putting Tennessee on the map as the epicenter of boat manufacturing in the U.S."
