ORANGE PARK, Fla. — GEM Products Inc. and Marine Hardware Inc. have formed a strategic business alliance and distribution agreement, the companies said in a statement. Effective immediately, all Marine Hardware products will be exclusively distributed by GEM Products in the Southeast, the companies said.
"GEM's customers have long requested that we add bronze hardware, underwater gear, shafting and more proprietary products to our line so that they could single source all of their hardware needs from one supplier," said GEM President Matthew Bridgewater in the statement. "Now that we have formed this relationship with Marine Hardware we can offer a proven and well established product line to our customers while helping them save money and streamline their purchases."
Marine Hardware, which makes underwater gear and marine accessories, has concentrated on the development of its supplier base and new product development in recent years, according to the company. Similarly, GEM, which produces stainless steel products for the marine industry, said it has focused on sales, distribution, product development and proprietary fishing technology.
