Hey all-
I have new snap in carpet from Matworks on the way and I was wondering about the sanity of hitting it with Scotchgard or similar carpet protectant prior to installing it.
Pros?
Cons?

Thank you

This is what I found.
Yes, you can Scotchgard boat carpets, and it is recommended to help protect against spills, stains, and moisture. It creates an invisible barrier that repels liquids, makes cleanup easier, and can extend the life of the carpet. However, the effectiveness depends on the carpet type, and it is crucial to test a small, hidden area first to check for colorfastness before applying it to the entire carpet.
