BAYPORT, Minn. – ValvTect Petroleum recognized Bayport Marina of Bayport, Minn., as its 2008 ValvTect Marina of the Year during the International Marina and Boatyard Conference, ValvTect reported in a recent statement.

"We're pleased to present this award to Bayport Marina, widely known for outstanding customer service, boater education and environmental programs," said ValvTect President Jerry Nessenson.

"Our goal is to provide our slip holders a clean, pleasant and environmentally-friendly place to enjoy their boating activities," said Bayport Marina General Manager Marshall Nowlin. "Having ValvTect Marine Gasoline at our fuel dock ties in perfectly with our goal to provide the industry's best products and enhance our customers' boating experience."

Bayport Marina has received other awards under the leadership of Nowlin, including Quimby's Cruising Guide 5-Star Award, North Central Marina Association's first Marina of the Year and the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency's Green Star Award.

"We're fortunate that many of the nation's top marina operators participate in the Certified ValvTect Marina program and are committed to providing boaters trouble-free and safe boating,” concluded Nessenson.
