Warning Beeps on Chaparral H20 Fish and Ski

Hey all...I'm continuing to get warning beeps on our Fish and Ski.

They happen every 60 seconds and there doesn't appear to be anything awry on any of the gauges.

When I plug it in for a few hours before heading out, it doesn't happen right away, but within 20 - 30 minutes it comes back.

Battery maybe?

Any insights would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

!st off, how old is your battery?
Do not charge your battery before going out, instead take a volt meter reading of the battery.
If good battery should be at least 12.4. When running what does your volt gauge read?
When you are done with your cruise, take another battery reading.
You can also look for dirty or loose connections.
Being that my girl came without any computers, the old layman's way of trial and error is the only way that I know how to trouble shoot.
You have 2 choices, try this, or plug her into a computer.
Good luck, and please keep us posted.

Check the outdrive fluid (assuming you have one since the OP does not tell us the engine configuration)... Is the oil in good shape?

Forgive me!! A good battery should read around 13.4 to 13.6

Here is the list. Concentrate on the ones that show 2 beeps per minute. These are reserved for non-critical alarms and are typically a result of a failing sensor. Critical alarms like sea water pressure, drive lube level, exhaust temp, oil pressure, and coolant temp will set a constant alarm condition.
Warning System

The engine warning system incorporates an audio alarm and, if installed, a SC1000 System Monitor. When the key switch is turned to the ON position, the audio alarm will momentarily activate to test the warning system. The alarm should sound once if the system is operable. This table is a guick guide, showing what warning output will accompany a fault.

I am probably the oldest, or close to it on this forum.
I came from an era where all you needed was 3 things to make an engine run.
Gas, Spark and Ignition, and it was easy to find out which one you did not have.
And that is the era that my girl is from too.
I accept and understand the efficiency of all the new and improved.
My problem with it, is the average layman can not fix it, and without a mechanic and a computer, you don't know where to look.
It is a lot easier to get your car to a mechanic then your boat.
Sorry for rattling on. Just my 2 cents.

Thank you Wingnut for joining this forum, your info is priceless to those of us that can make use of it.

Sorry for the miss print, it should have been: Gas, Spark and Compression.

Ummm, no. A sitting 12V will not be above 12.7V. If you are getting 13.4V then it is either running or plugged into shore power.

Yes! Your right for flooded, AGM and Gel. I was thinking of my own batteries. I have lithium for my house bank. Sorry about that......

My batteries are flooded, I went by what I have.
Growing up, all we had were flooded batteries.
I am not educated on the other types of batteries.
As you get older life tends to go on without you. :)
