Nice run. Thks for the pics. Glad you decided to keep your boat. :D

    Winter cover

Maybe one of the aluminum carports. They are open on all sides but you can hang tarps. Otherwise shrink wrap is about the only thing I know of to really protect a boat stored outside.

Donating a boat. How easy is it?

So so sorry to hear this. That you would even consider this shocks me. An I know nothing on the subject so I searched on donating a car to charity and found this turbo tax link. I'm assuming donating a car or boat to charity would work the same. Good luck...

    October Boating

Similar weather here. Highs in the 60's. Not what we call boating weather. Hoping for a touch of Indian Summer before I have to winterize. Chances for that are not looking real good at this point.

    Outdrive service

How to clean boat's bottom to end the season?

Slimy Grimy is a product I've used to clean the bottom after an extended stay in the water. Works great. Strong stuff.

    1999 Chaparral 2330

Wow. That is extreme. I've seen it where they might idle up a bit for 5 seconds then go back to normal. 5 minutes is crazy. and if you rev it up it still settles at 2k rather than where it should? Just trying to understand the issue. Right now I have no clue on what to do to stop this...

What does your temp gauge show? If you have an infrared heat sensor you could verify the temp gauge and check temps on other areas of your motor. Seems like the engine is trying to cool down.

    questions

Did you top off the tank and add sea foam?

Sorry for the dumb question but what are these on my 2016 Suncoast 250?

Guess it's not a dumb question since nobody knows, including me. But I wanted to welcome you to net boat talk. Hoping someone will come around that does know the answer. Many of us were boating all weekend so there is hope since many have not seen the question yet.

Gel coat discussion-I don’t get it.

    questions

Twin engines and you topped out at 13 mph? Couldn't even plain off. What was the rpm when that happened? Did you leave the throttle open and then it straightend up or did you stop and go over and over till it ran right? Sounds like something got in your gas. Maybe add some seafoam to...

    New Boat Owner

Safety course is an excellent idea. So is a 4 blade prop. But no rush on that if your 3 blade is working fine. I prefer stainless props but they can sure get expensive.

    Looking to buy a 1998 signature 270

My daughter and son in law are looking to upgrade from their 95 four winns 200 horizen. So we've all been looking at used boats. New boats are out of the question. As are nearly new ones. But you can find a 15 or 20 year old boat with low hours that has been taken care of. Many owned by...
