Installing Simrad NSX/SmartCraft and transducer; 2004 Sunesta 252

I was not sure it could be done on your engine given the age. But glad to hear it looks good. Just an FYI for others. On my Sig 290 2011, just after the warrantee rain out. The RPM gauge stopped working on both engines. Now this was a $900 replacement cost. At the time, the gateway was a cost...

Yep, it passes salt water though a membrane at 800PSI to remove the salt. Along with 3 filters to remover anything else. To put it simply.

Installing Simrad NSX/SmartCraft and transducer; 2004 Sunesta 252

I would think, for a engine to be compatible it need to be completely computerized. I know that Volvo went that way around 2010. I bought a getaway from Yachts Devices https://www.yachtd.com/ for my 2011 Sig 290. It worked out great. I would talk to them and see what they can tell you. One...

Chain is key for a good anchor rode. For your back, I would buy a windless.

2024 Chaparral SSI fuel gauge not reading correctly

Yep, As I mentioned, a in line fuel sensor and the simrad unit should display GPH rate. AND with that I think it will tell you how much fuel is left.

2024 Chaparral SSI fuel gauge not reading correctly

"I don’t see adding baffles as a practical solution" Its not! But its true and a joke. You could add a sight glass. It is one of the best ways.

2024 Chaparral SSI fuel gauge not reading correctly

On that note. I connected a fuel sensor to the fuel line and had the GPS read out GPH. That did two things, my GPH rate plus to find the best KPH rate to save on fuel.

2024 Chaparral SSI fuel gauge not reading correctly

I am not surprised at all. I have had about 6 small boat from different builders with the same problem. The only 2 ways to get a good reading is. 1. have the boat motionless for 2 or more minutes. 2. add baffles to the tank to stop the gas from going side to side in the tank. What I always did...

    Water Makers

I must have had a bad day yesterday. I meant to post this on the trawler forum. No disrespect to all the boaters here!! But most are lake boaters that would not need a water maker. The wife is retiring next spring. The plan is to take the boat and go south for the following winter. Fuel with...

    Water Makers

I plan on adding a water maker for next season. Looking at Parker, Spectra and US Watermaker. They all have pros and cons but leaning towards US Watermaker. US Watermaker Clearwater is expandable from 400 to 1500 GPD by changing the tubes. Small in size/foot print. 120V @ 18A Parker Pro Mini...

'18 Signature Overhead lights staying on

You can buy some lights that by turning them off and back on. You cycle though the colors. No brainbox or controller. That could be the case. I have had them on my but from red to white for night time. Why rewire?

    Trim switch has stopped working

I had this problem before. With many wires off the same post, I would tape or wire tie them in a bundle. Its just too easy to miss one.

Blower issues on '18 signature 330

I would look for a short in the harness than. If that fails. New wiring then. It's a simple install.

Blower issues on '18 signature 330

I am a little confused. So all 5 wires are disconnected and the 2 blowers stay on? If that is the case, " then they are getting their power from another wire that is powered by that same breaker." I would try to trace the wires from the blowers to the breaker. Or even the other way too. You...
