Sport Interior Sundeck Lid Hinge / Mid to late 90's

I have a 1998 Chaparral 230 Sport SE with the sport interior. The rear seat is across the whole boat in front of the engine and the back of the seat has a sundeck over the engine area. There is a hinge on each side of the back of seat/sundeck which raises for access to the engine compartment. One of the two hinges has broken. I had contact on the old Chaparral from someone using the name cdcushman who had indicated he had someone make the part for him. Any information related to this would be very helpful, or anyone knowing where I can find such an old part or how to get one made, please send me a message. A place called Cecil Marine had the part post on their website, but as out of stock and no longer available. They cannot get it anymore.

Take the broken hinge to different boat yards where they have old boats, or call them with a photo of yours.
Most hinges are universal and will fit many different boats.
If you can't find one to match yours, buy two that match.
There is more than one way to skin a cat.
