2012 Chaparral 267 SSX - Radio Issue

Trying to help my dad out with his boat. The factory radio head unit this summer has not worked, after working when the boat went in hibernation last winter. Further context, the unit shows no sign of life, and same goes for the remotes. Trying to find anywhere online that gives an idea what could be the culprit, or where exactly fuses and such would be located to try and solve it. If anyone has any advice, previous experience or could generally give an idea what direction to go in it would be greatly appreciated.

And another side venture will be solving why our second battery isn’t charging. Worked earlier this summer and is maybe 2-3years old. Pulled it off the charger earlier today and nothing from battery 2. Not sure if any of the radio issues could have caused that, or if it’s just another gremlin to chase.

Thanks and much appreciated.

Take the battery to a battery place and have it power tested, the radio may work off of that battery. Try another power source to test the radio. Maybe the radio was left on, or something else.

Second battery was indeed the culprit. Charged battery 2 directly, and the radio was back working. Now will chase down why battery 2 wasn't/isn't charging.

Appreciate the help. As usual, completely overlooked the easy reason. But considering the boat can switch between the 2 batteries, never would've thought the radio would be hard wired to battery 2 and bypass the switch.

Probably done so you could play the radio without turning on anything else. Mine is wired that way to the house battery.
Just make sure that it is fused.
