Fridges and Grills

Just wondering if you have a propane grill on your boat like a swim platform one how often do you use it ?
Also boats with fridges. Anyone using it and Will they run the battery down in a day ? Assuming 2 batteries in the boat

As to the fridge, more facts are needed. You must do the math. How many amp does the fridge use? How many amp hours are you 2 batteries? Now add in what you will use in one day. Without that info, your question can not be answered.

Just an FYI: Is not the amount of batteries you have on board. Its the size of the bank, meaning amp hours. Also the type of battery. So lets say you fridge pulls 10amp. Which is a lot but keeping numbers round! So it each battery is rated 100Ah X two = a bank of 200 amp hours. Flooded batteries can only be drained down to 50% before damaging, AGMs 40% and Life04 to 20%. With flooded, thats 10hr of use that will bring the bank down to 50%. Now this is not accounting, for other loads. With AGMs, thats about 11 hours.

I guess I was more curious about what other boaters do. If they use their fridge for just at the dock with shore power or day trips when out or overnight ?

I always kept it stocked. So I would not have to bring down the condiments and other stuff.

I have a power inverter, a small George Foreman Grille, and a small fridge. Which work well for day trips, and shore power at night.
The key for me is to start with 4 of those blocks that you can freeze and put them on the top shelf, and don't open the door anymore than you have to.
I remember my dad saying many many years ago. Know what you want before you open the door and don't stand there holding it open, we ae not cooling the kitchen. Because back then no one had A/C.
