Fridges and Grills

Just wondering if you have a propane grill on your boat like a swim platform one how often do you use it ?
Also boats with fridges. Anyone using it and Will they run the battery down in a day ? Assuming 2 batteries in the boat

I don't use my grill that often. But that's me..

As to the fridge, more facts are needed. You must do the math. How many amp does the fridge use? How many amp hours are you 2 batteries? Now add in what you will use in one day. Without that info, your question can not be answered.

Just an FYI: Is not the amount of batteries you have on board. Its the size of the bank, meaning amp hours. Also the type of battery. So lets say you fridge pulls 10amp. Which is a lot but keeping numbers round! So it each battery is rated 100Ah X two = a bank of 200 amp hours. Flooded batteries can only be drained down to 50% before damaging, AGMs 40% and Life04 to 20%. With flooded, thats 10hr of use that will bring the bank down to 50%. Now this is not accounting, for other loads. With AGMs, thats about 11 hours.

I have a power inverter, a small George Foreman Grille, and a small fridge. Which work well for day trips, and shore power at night.
The key for me is to start with 4 of those blocks that you can freeze and put them on the top shelf, and don't open the door anymore than you have to.
I remember my dad saying many many years ago. Know what you want before you open the door and don't stand there holding it open, we ae not cooling the kitchen. Because back then no one had A/C.

I installed a 12 volt fridge on my 2550 SX. I run it all the time when boating. It only uses a few amps at a time and I keep the boat charged at night when staying on it with a 115v gfci outlet to the dock to run a battery charger (no shorepower). I have two AGM batteries with about 80AH capacity. They are installed as separate banks so I never have a backup. I have never come close to running low on power on one battery (I simply alternate them--the charger linked below is a dual bank 20 amp marine charger).

For a grill we use marinas. To cook on board we use our built-in alcohol stove. If you want a grill, get a magma.
Nice job on everything. Yes leds are brighter I redid mine completely, except my gauge lights. I think the fridge looks good, the main thing is that it is going to stay put. Wishing you safe travels and good water.

Indeed. The cabin and cockpit leds have made a huge difference. I also did not mess with the gauge lights.

I did not know that they made a 12 V that big. Mine is 110 V, that is one of the reasons I added an inverter.
Does it tell the amp draw?
I think it may on the app. I remember it pulling like 5 or 6 amps when running. Really it doesn't use much power at all. I have it wired to a factory breaker.
