My 4's kick in at 3100 I usually run between 2700 -2900 which will get me to the low to mid 20's, depending on people and water conditions. When I first got her with 180 hrs on her she did 48 and the standard 30 mph at 3000 rpm's with her 350/260 Then through the years when I started adding...

2024 Chaparral SSI fuel gauge not reading correctly

I ran mine by hrs. I started a log to find an average, which was about 6 gal per hr. I have an 88 gal tank. So the longest I would run without filling up was 10 hrs. Today even with all my other gauges for safety I like hrs. That gave me a fudge factor of 8 gal per hr.

I never get into my 4's my average speed is probably 18 - 20 MPH. Other than some skiing and wakeboarding. My 33 year average is less than 6 gal an hr. I keep a ledger, so just for grins and giggles when I have a chance I will look it up and see how many gals I have gone through.

Gas, spark and a little compresion is all you need, and you don't need a computer to tell you which one you don't have.

The water in your engine where it didn't belong reminded me of mine.I was doing my decomition at the end of one season when I found some water on my #2 spark plug when I pulled it out. So a good friend of mine (this was beyond my pay scale) pulled the heads. In 1985 Chevy wanted to lighten up...

Very nice Drew, thanks to you and your lady for sharing. You picked the right day to venture out. One thing about The Great Lakes, they can get real ugly in a very short period of time. Also nice work on getting your girl ready for the cruise.(y)

Great! And that is your fuse panel. It might have been like your cell phone or your computer, every so often they need to be shut down to regroup. Hope that did the trick, and you don't have a gremlin. Lol

There is so much aftermarket stuff out there that it is hard to distinguish it from original equipment. I did some checking on the net. I started with Cecil Marine a Chap dealer, they do not sell that boat, so they could not help me. The guy said that Chap did not sell a 32ft, they sold a 310-...

The first place I would look , is the brainbox that controls the system. For some reason it is not communicating. Find out who made it, and call them. There should be an identification tag on it.

I do that with all of my + and - wires going to each of my batteries, and I tag them.

(Old school), first place to look is where someone may have worked on it. We have all been there. Welcome aboard!

    Trim switch has stopped working

Yes it is the hydraulic pump and that should be the fuse. The power steering pump is on your engine.

Look for an inline fuse, start at the pump, that is where I found mine.

Can you help me identify this engine?

I would copy down your hull ID number and call Chap with it, maybe they will have the info you need. Ya, pictures don't lie, got a few unanswered questions that need answers. Keep us posted, please.

Can you help me identify this engine?

They did not list any other motor in the brochure, just those 2.

Can you help me identify this engine?

It is gas powered. Chap listed a 4.3 L V6 and a 5.0 L V8 For that model and year in an archives brochure. Count the number of spark wires you have, and that should answer your questions.

Blower issues on '18 signature 330

I would start with the back or the inside of your breaker panel. And see if something doesn't look right. As Iggy says, and I have already done this myself, string a new wire from the panel to the fans. Make sure you protect the original wire. Maybe you can unstring and remove the original wire...
