2004 Signature 260 In-Line Fuel Filter?

Is there an inline fuel filter on my boat besides the fuel/water separator? I have a Merc 350 MAG MPI, if that matters. The parts diagram shows one but doesn't give a location. Is it maybe in the fuel tank? Thanks!

I would follow the fuel line from the tank. If you one, than there is none. I had a Sig 290, I added a Racor filters to each engine. I wanted to make sure that dirt and water never reaches the engines.

Do you have a cool fuel module? If so there are two filters in there. Module will be on starboard side of engine down low. Fuel line from tank runs straight into it unless someone added a remote fuel filter.

Mine is just a simple inline one that I change out every couple of years. I check out the old one to see if it has picked up anything, so far after 33 years, it has always been clean. i
It is mounted about 12-18 inches before the separator.
