Update: Feeling better, I finally decided to bring the boat home and start working on it. I sat and looked at the boat not wanting to crawl around while applying the bottom treatment but I forced myself to get going. I decided not to lift the boat to get at the areas of the bunks. Too much work and I wanted to reduce climbing around. But what made the difference this time is that the instructions said to use a damp sponge to apply. What a difference that made. Still had to climb around but it helped speed things up. That took a day and a half to complete.
The other "thing" is the continuous fight with the gelcoat. When I pulled it out of storage I was amazed at how much in faded during storage. So this time I took wet sandpaper to the gelcoat, then a light compounding and then wax. It's still not perfect but better than it was.
I took the swim platform off so I could do redo the screws into the transom to make sure they are waterproofed. Plus I put a coating of teak oil on the platform and it's taking a long time to dry. This could delay me. I haven't checked this morning.
Changed two nav bulbs to LED. The old incandescent bulbs were driving me nuts, especially the stern light.
Hopefully, by this weekend, I'll have it in. But then there is the weather.
