Bilge Pump w/ Auto Float Switch

I need to replace my bilge pump and automatic float switch on a 2007 Chaparral 256SSX. The boats current bilge pump is a Attwood V1250 Pump Model 4212 (Fuse - 4 AMP). It doesn't appear they make this model anymore. Is there a newer model bilge pump with an automatic float switch that's compatible? The pump was located directly under the engine so it's very tight and I'm not sure what new pump would fit directly under the engine again.

Does it say how many gal per hr? How much space do you have between the hull and the engine? I like Rule Pumps. They have a good service and tech dept. It looks like that 1250 might be your gal per hr.

The only compatibility problem, if you want to call it that. Is the discharge hose size and maybe amperage. The breaker/fuse on the panel may need to be changed going with a bigger pump. Easy enough to do. Any brand Auto pump would work.

I think thats a 1250GPH pump. If it was me, I would try to go a little bigger on the GPH. It can only help!

I am only seeing 2 wires, there should be a third. One for ground, one for Auto mode and one to manually turn the pump on.

Just a thought, Since the pump is in a hard to reach spot. I would take 1/4" starboard and mount the pump to that. Than slide that pump to the lowest spot under the engine. Than secure the starboard down where you can easily get to it.
