That is pot metal, and i don't know if it can be welded. I have my original one, not sure what it would cost to ship it, but you are welcome to it. It will probably be of better quality. Does the one that you are looking at come with free shipping?

I didn’t look far enough beyond the posted price. So I don’t know what the shipping options are. I’ll check in the morning and get back to you. Thanks for the offer. I’ll keep it in mind.

Amazon is showing free for next week delivery. I was just trying to calculate the shipping cost from DTW to BUF but the USPS site isn't working.
FedEx lowest rate is $41 for a Wednesday arrival. What do you think? No rush as the boat goes into storage tomorrow.
 
Let me do some checking the first of the week. I will take the unite and a box and have it weighed.
 
Dan, I have not forgotten you, but I have forgotten what I did with the pedestal. It is really fun getting old. Lol
My new adventure is finding it, and my mind. Of all the things I have lost, I miss my mind the most.
 
Don't worry about it. It's probably sitting right where you left it. haha I have the same quirks going on with me..."Where the hell is my phone"...or "where are the keys?" When I go somewhere, I must check my pocket a hundred times to verify that my keys are with me before I lock and close the door.
