omc cobra or pre alpha 1 out drive

I have both of these out drives and gimbal housing . Going on a 2550 pursuits behind a 350 . which out drive is the most dependable thanks Doug

Do you know the history on either of the out drives? I've owned both OMC and Merc, both have performed well for me.
