Sea cock replacement?

Has anyone had to replace the seacocks on their Chap?

Went to change impellers yesterday and clean the sea strainers, and the seacock that feeds the engines will not shut. The one going to the genset seems to close fine.

Will be taking the boat out of the water soon, and will replace both seacocks. Looking to see if anyone else has done this work or had someone do it for them. If anyone with a 270/290/330 Sig expesially as I imagine the parts are similar. Might go with backing plates on the new ones for extra support too.

Thanks

There should be a grease fitting on it depending on brand. As a last resort, I would block the thru hull on the bottom of the boat. Than from the inside take the hose off and fill it with a light oil and let it seat for a day. It can't hurt to try?
