Volvo Penta SX-M trim cylinder hoses

Have a 1999 Volvo Penta with a leaking portside trim cylinder hose. I see that the previous owner installed a hose clamp. It came loose, thus the leak. I have removed the lower drive and am now to the cylinders themselves. I have seen on other forum discussions that others have had the same problem with the fittings galled up and frozen. I have had little success freeing them. Heat, lubricant (PB blaster) and time. My question is if I order new trim hoses will the fittings gall up again (i.e. are they still the same metal or did Volvo make a change along the way to match metal types?). Assuming I am eventually able to get these free, I don’t want to encounter this again. Just curious if anyone has any words of wisdom on how I might get the fittings loose and how to avoid going forward? I have not gotten to the aluminum manifold yet. The boat will be a feshwater boat, with the exception of one week a year in saltwater. Thanks in advance.
