5.0 with a B1 or a B2...not completely sure. the speedo is not working and the pitot hole is clear. The issues lies at the top of the drive unit it seems.
I can identify the hose which comes from the transom and goes to a plastic piece which is mounted to the inside and seems to be fine. From the plastic piece there is another short piece of tubing that isnt attached to anything. I cant get a visual on what is down inside that area below the tubing but I can feel some type of nipple that I thought maybe the tube got inserted into...not happening does not fit. also feels like there is a piece of plastic broken off inside the end of the tubing.
I am having a little bit of trouble finding a picture of what that short tube attaches to but I think it may be something that is installed over the nipple that I can feel.
The boat is in its slip and I would much prefer to do this repair on the water as opposed to pulling it out because it seems like a very simple fix with the correct part.
Any direction will be greatly appreciated!!!

I boat on the Ohio River. I could clear the speedo pickup but before the day was out it would be plugged again. RPM's give me a good idea but I looked for a better option. I bought a GPS speedo. Livorski. Works great.

Along with the rpms, I use my gps also, which will give me my speed.

Since the new pitot probe was installed several years ago, I've been lucky with my speed indications. At 2900rpm and properly trimmed, I'll reach 30mph which is backed up by GPS at 30mph. The only time they vary in indications is boating in the Niagara River. Strong current. I am fortunate to have fairly clean water except when the large clumps of seaweed starts flowing.
